Dans ces activités, de plus en plus reconnues par les pouvoirs publics et des universitaires, les populations participent non seulement à la collecte d’information, mais également à l’ensemble du raisonnement scientifique. Les boutiques de science, la sélection participative, les sciences citoyennes naturalistes et le suivi citoyen de l’environnement nous montrent l’existence d’une pulsion épistémologique forte parmi les populations, et son impact sur la recherche professionnelle et l’interdisciplinarité. |

Relationships between researchers and the “third sector” of science are helping to develop participatory science. In these activities, which are increasingly recognised by the public authorities and universities, citizens take part not only in information gathering but also in scientific reasoning. Science boutiques, participatory selection, natural sciences for citizens and citizen’s monitoring of the environment all reflect the existence of a strong epistemological current within the population which has an impact on professional research and interdisciplinarity. |
