Summary, etc. | En partant de l’idée aujourd’hui largement partagée d’une forte circulation des savoirs entre différentes sphères de production de discours (médiatiques, scientifiques, politico-administratifs), cet article propose d’aborder l’adolescence et la jeunesse à la fois comme un objet de connaissance sociologique et comme un objet d’intervention de politique publique. Après un historique sur la façon dont les discours politique et les recherches scientifiques ont convergé pour produire des catégories d’âge, est proposée une analyse des fortes coïncidences sémantiques que l’on retrouve plus particulièrement lorsque l’on aborde la question de l’autonomie juvénile. Finalement, cet article essaye de proposer des pistes pour répondre à cette question : comment le sociologue peut-il exercer son métier dans un contexte de forte diffusion de son savoir et de son accès de plus en plus fréquent à la figure de l’expert ? |

Summary, etc. | This article starts with the largely shared assumption that the circulation of knowledge between different kinds of spheres of discourses (mediatic, scientific, policy and administrative discourses) is a major/important phenomenon. The paper intends to address both adolescence and youth as an object of knowledge as well as an object of policy intervention. After providing the history of the ways in which political discourses converge with scientific researches and construct age categories, I suggest an analysis of the numerous semantic coincidences that one can find when the question of youth autonomy is assessed. Finally, this article attempts to give some clues in order to answer the following question: how sociologist could practice his craft in a context of huge diffusion of his knowledge and his frequent access to the figure of expert? |
