Très tôt à la pointe de la communication politique moderne, Michel Rocard en devient à partir des années 1980 l’un des critiques les plus acerbes. À partir d’une interrogation sur sa marginalité, nous voulons éclairer la manière dont il s’empare de cet outil pour palier les faibles ressources à sa disposition en raison de son positionnement, puis s’en distancie au cours de son parcours privilégiant d’autres formes de légitimité. À travers cet exemple, l’auteur entend éclairer l’institutionnalisation et ses limites de la communication politique. |

| Summary, etc. | Michel Rocard’s communication seems to be an enigma. He is one of the first to adopt the modern political communication among the French liberals. However, after becoming a minister (1981-1985) and then Prime minister (1988-1991), and even if he kept having an impressive popularity, he theorizes a very violent criticism of media effects and political communication. We want to underline how he adopts and then rejects political communication in relation to his marginal position in the French Politics. By this example the author wants to highlight the main means of political communication institutionalization. |
