| Summary, etc. | L’École supérieure d’art de l’agglomération d’Annecy a lancé en 2009-2010 le premier dispositif diplômant de troisième cycle porté par une école d’art française : le diplôme supérieur de recherche en art. Cela exigeait un ensemble de mutations dans toute l’école – pour la pédagogie en général, pour les étudiants de premier et deuxième cycle, les enseignants, la recherche en art, les modèles économiques de l’activité, les rapports de partenariats, pour ce qu’être artiste sortant d’une école veut dire, etc. Et cela a donc produit un puissant effet sur l’ensemble de l’établissement. Quelques six années après le début de ce travail à la fois institutionnel et artistique, cet article revient sur cette expérience, en décrit le dispositif et en pointe les réussites et les limites. |

| Summary, etc. | Inventing a higher education diploma in artistic researchIn 2009-2010, the Annecy Higher School of Art launched the first doctoral diploma offered by a French art school : the higher education diploma in artistic research. The move required a series of changes across the entire school – in teaching methods in general, for first and second degree students, for the teachers, the artistic research conducted, the economic models applied, the partnerships in place, for what it means to be an art school graduate, and so on, thus producing a powerful effect on the entire school. Six years on, this article looks into the experience, from the institutional as well as the artistic perspective, describes the procedures introduced and discusses their successes and limitations. |
