520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | From socio-technical controversy to metajournalistic discourseIn an attempt to gain a deeper understanding of what journalism is, and where it may be heading, in a given socio-temporal context, the aim of our study is to collect and analyse types of discourse on journalism (metajournalistic discourse). In this article, we argue that this kind of discourse can be understood as “a topic for concern” and investigated through analyses of controversy. Thanks to the natively digital substance of online discourse and by following up the traces left by hyperlinks, analyses of controversies can show how networks around issues become deployed over the web. This makes it possible to identify the diversity of those who shape metajournalistic discourse. |
