| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’activité cynégétique a marqué le devenir de l’un des parcs naturels qui composent la Sierra Morena : le Parc naturel de la Sierra de Andújar (Andalousie, Espagne). La pratique de la chasse au gros gibier a éloigné l’actuel espace protégé d’autres usages tels que l’agriculture, l’élevage et, plus récemment, l’urbanisme ; activités qui ont transformé une grande partie de la montagne méditerranéenne andalouse. La chasse a rendu difficile le développement du tourisme actif, mais a ouvert les portes à d’autres voies économiques de caractère agroalimentaire. Nous nous proposons de présenter ici un panorama historique de l’influence que la chasse au gros gibier a exercée depuis le xixe jusqu’à nos jours, dotant ce parc d’une personnalité bien particulière dans le paysage de la Sierra Morena. |

| Summary, etc. | Hunting activities were influential in the evolution of one of the Natural Parks dividing the Sierra Morena, the Natural Park of Sierra de Andújar, in Andalusia, Spain. Big game hunting reduced the possibility for the presently protected area to be put to other uses such as agriculture, cattle-raising, or more recently urbanization, the activities which have transformed a large part of the Mediterranean mountains elsewhere in Andalusia. Hunting made difficult any development of intensive tourist activities, while it left the door open to other economic endeavors, linked to agrifood businesses. This paper presents a historical overview of the influence big game hunting exerted from the 19th century down to the present day in this particular Park, an influence which explains its peculiar character and place within the Sierra Morena. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenLa actividad cinegética ha marcado el devenir de uno de los espacios naturales protegidos localizados en Sierra Morena: el Parque Natural de la Sierra de Andújar (Andalucía, España). La práctica de la caza mayor ha impedido el desarrollo en dicho parque de otros usos como la agricultura, la ganadería y, más recientemente, el urbanismo; actividades que han transformado gran parte de la montaña mediterránea andaluza. Asimismo, la caza ha dificultado la expansión del turismo activo, pero ha abierto las puertas a otras vías económicas de carácter agroalimentario. Proponemos presentar un panorama histórico de la influencia que la caza mayor ha ejercido desde el siglo xix hasta hoy, dotando a este espacio natural de una personalidad propia en el paisaje de Sierra Morena. |
