| Summary, etc. | L’acronyme BRIC a été inventé en 2001 par Goldman Sachs et a été utilisé par les analystes des marchés financiers. Cependant, ce groupe, né comme un objet – envisagé comme source d’actifs à haut rendement pour les investisseurs mondiaux – a été structuré comme un sujet, en tant qu’un acteur important dans des dialogues internationaux et avec un message très clair : nous n’accepterons pas le rôle qui nous est donné et nous voulons être protagonistes dans les enjeux économiques internationaux. Le groupe s’est donc organisé autour d’un programme de refus du statu quo. De cela, bien sûr, il y a la nécessité de construire un agenda économique positif et avec des propositions en ce qui concerne l’ordre international et aussi la relation entre les cinq pays. Cet article vise ainsi à explorer les possibilités et les défis pour la constitution de ce réseau de relations économiques entre les BRICS, notamment sur deux dimensions principales : i) production (le commerce international et les investissements directs étrangers) ; ii) monétaire et financière. |

| Summary, etc. | The BRICS acronym was invented in 2001 by Goldman Sachs and has since been used by financial market analysts. However, the BRICS group, which was initially an object – as a source of high-yield assets for global investors – organised itself into a subject : a major player in international discussions giving out a very clear message : « we will not accept the role we are being given, we intend to be protagonists in the international economic arena ». The group organised itself around a programme of rejection of the status quo. Now, of course, there is a need to build up a positive economic agenda, with proposals concerning the international order and the relationship between the five countries. This article aims to explore possibilities and challenges for the establishment of this network of economic relations between BRICS countries, in two main areas in particular : (i) production (international trade and foreign direct investment) ; ii) financial and monetary. |
