Cette émergence économique a entraîné des mutations sociales profondes : exode rural vers les villes, industrialisation, urbanisation et modes de vie, etc. Le niveau global de la population a été sensiblement amélioré ; cependant, la croissance de la richesse nationale a creusé les inégalités entre territoires d’un pays, entre classes sociales et pour l’accès aux soins et à l’éducation. L’absence de similitude sensible résultant de la civilisation, de l’identité, de l’histoire, de la culture, de la langue et du mode de vie ne présage nullement à une identité commune et un partage de valeurs. Il n’y a pas de faits générateurs qui plaident en faveur d’un rapprochement spontané des peuples des pays BRICS dans un proche avenir. |

| Summary, etc. | Since the emergence of the BRICS as a geopolitical bloc, rapid economic growth has been observed in all of its member countries. This has brought profound social and lifestyle changes, with the rural exodus into cities, industrialisation and urbanisation. Although the overall standard of living of the population has improved significantly, the growth of national wealth has increased inequality between regions and social classes in each country as well as unequal access to health care and education. The lack of significant similarities resulting from a shared civilisation, history, culture, linguistic heritage and way of life does not foreshadow any common identity or sharing of common values. There are no foundational circumstances likely to trigger a sense of spontaneous fellow-feeling among the peoples of the BRICS countries in the near future. |
