Summary, etc. The representation of women is closely linked to the image of food: food preparation must be considered a cultural fact, and this applies especially to women. In her work, Simone de Beauvoir had already treated the subject of cooking as a space where women are confined. In light of these considerations, the article would like to show how the Italian writer Rossana Campo integrated Simone de Beauvoir’s reflections on domestic life and eating habits, and transposed them into her literary work.
