| Summary, etc. | Walter Benjamin est sans doute l’un des rares philosophes à avoir tenté de théoriser la radio et probablement le seul qui ait produit et expérimenté de manière aussi intensive et créative ce média. Entre 1927 et 1933, il réalisa près d’une centaine d’émissions (conférences, lectures, entretiens) et inventa même de nouveaux genres radiophoniques dédiés pour certains à la jeunesse. Ces différents travaux pour la radio offrirent à Benjamin la possibilité de se confronter à un public inédit. Plus encore, ces textes constituent une mise en pratique d’une pensée critique de la radio et forment un véritable projet philosophique et politique, à savoir celui de donner aux auditeurs les moyens de s’émanciper et de penser par eux-mêmes. |

| Summary, etc. | Walter Benjamin is undoubtedly one of the few philosophers to have attempted to theorise about radio, and probably the only one to have produced and experimented so intensively and creatively with this medium. Between 1927 and 1933, he produced nearly a hundred programmes (lectures, readings, interviews) and even invented new radio genres, some of them aimed at young people. These various radio projects gave Benjamin the opportunity to confront a new audience. What’s more, these texts put into practice critical thinking about radio and form a genuine philosophical and political project, namely to give listeners the means to emancipate themselves and think for themselves. |
