| Summary, etc. | L’objet de cette recherche consiste à montrer que la performance des entreprises exportatrices françaises ne dépend pas uniquement des facteurs exogènes, notamment les fluctuations de l’euro par rapport aux monnaies des pays concurrents ou des variations des cours du pétrole, mais principalement des facteurs endogènes. Il s’agit, en fait, des pratiques managériales qui influencent à moyen et long termes la compétitivité-prix et hors prix des entreprises exportatrices et justifient les bonnes performances des entreprises exportatrices allemandes, malgré la récurrence des facteurs exogènes. Cette recherche tente de mettre en évidence, à travers une analyse théorique et empirique, les effets escomptés des pratiques managériales sur la performance d’un échantillon représentatif de PME exportatrices de la région Auvergne et les nombreuses insuffisances qui caractérisent ces pratiques provoquant ainsi un déficit quasi-structurel du commerce international. Une étude empirique, basée sur une analyse quantitative et qualitative des entreprises qui ont répondu à notre questionnaire, nous permettra de jeter un éclairage utile sur les facteurs endogènes qui expliquent la récurrence des problèmes du commerce international français. Les résultats de cette recherche montrent que, au-delà des problèmes financiers et de la petite taille de nos PME, leurs performances à l’export sont largement tributaires de leurs pratiques managériales et de leurs capacités d’adaptation/anticipation dans les domaines technologiques, organisationnels, financiers, mercatiques et interculturels. |

| Summary, etc. | The object of this research consists in showing that the performance of French export companies does not only depend on exogenous factors, in particular the fluctuations in the euro with regard to the currencies of rival countries or on the variations of oil prices, but mainly on endogenous factors. It is, in fact, about managerial practices which influence in the medium and long term the price competitiveness and non-price competitiveness of export companies and justify the good performance of German export companies in spite of the vitality of exogenous factors. This research tries to underline, through a theoretical and empirical analysis, the effects expected by managerial practices on the export performance of a representative sample of SMEs of the Auvergne region and the numerous incapacities which characterize these practices, thus provoking a quasi-structural deficit of international trade. An empirical study, based on a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the companies which answered our questionnaire, will allow us to throw a useful light on the endogenous factors which explain the recurrence of the problems of French international trade. The results of this research show that, over and above the financial problems and the small size of our SMEs, their export performance is very dependent on their managerial practices and on their capacities of adaptation/anticipation in the technological, organizational, financial, marketing and intercultural domains. |
