| Summary, etc. | À la suite du fait migratoire provoqué par la guerre civile en Espagne, des auteurs espagnols se sont installés en France et ont adopté comme langue d’écriture le français : Jorge Semprun, Agustin Gomez-Arcos, Michel del Castillo, Rodrigo de Zayas et Adélaïde Blasquez appartiennent à cette catégorie d’écrivains bilingues. Nous cherchons à démêler la relation qu’entretiennent la langue maternelle et l’autre langue qu’ils ont choisie volontairement, et comment cela façonne leurs discours narratifs. La place et l’influence que la langue maternelle et la culture espagnole exercent sur la langue d’écriture et sur leurs univers de fiction; les problèmes d’identité qu’elle produit chez l’écrivain bilingue, « schizophrène » et « sans racines ». Nous nous pencherons sur le cas de Michel del Castillo pour qui le conflit linguistique se double d’une quête identitaire spécialement intense et dangereuse, sans oublier de souligner des points en commun ou des différences avec le groupe d’auteurs que nous avons formé. |

| Summary, etc. | Double language and literary creation Following the migration provoked by civil war in Spain, Spanish authors moved to France and adopted French for writing : Jorge Semprun, Agustin Gomez-Arcos, Michel del Castillo, Rodrigo de Zayas and Adélaïde Blasquez belong to this category of bilingual writers. We try to disentangle the relationship between the mother tongue and the one chosen voluntarily, and study how it influences their narrative frame. The space and the influence the mother tongue and the Spanish culture have on the writing language and on their fictive world; the identity problems it induces with the bilingual “schizophrenic and rootless” writer. Michel del Castillo for whom the linguistic conflict is paired with a particularly intense and dangerous identity quest, will be studied, while the common points or differences with the group of author we form will be pointed out. |
