| Summary, etc. | Alors que dans les familles françaises le mouvement de transformation d’une génération à la suivante se fait sans trop de heurts, car la société évolue en même temps et dans le même contexte, pour les familles migrantes, les transformations sont plus difficiles. Nous constatons que les adolescents migrants (comme tous les adolescents) sont tout autres voire plus difficiles, bousculent leur famille, mais ces dernières, qui sont loin de la grande famille au pays, ne peuvent franchir le pas de la modernité demandée par leurs enfants, car ils éprouvent un sentiment de trahison, face à leurs parents au pays qui eux, ne peuvent imaginer ces transformations. D’ailleurs, quand un migrant revient voir sa famille au pays, le temps d’adaptation est plus ou moins long, car il se sent d’abord un étranger et on le considère comme un étranger en lui donnant des nouvelles des événements passés depuis son précédent voyage. À partir de la prise en charge d’une famille au Centre Georges Devereux, nous tenterons de montrer comment les parents sont réticents à prendre en compte les changements. Nous chercherons les faits imaginaires qu’ils construisent et ceux que les co-thérapeutes originaires des différents pays de la migration leur transmettent, à partir de leurs différentes cultures, pour modifier leurs regards. |

| Summary, etc. | Real and imaginary constructions of the immigrant family Whereas in the French family, the movement of transformation from one generation to another is done smoothly because the society evolves at the same time and in the same context. For migrant families transformation is more difficult. We notice that when immigrant teenagers ask for the same family evolution it jostles the family even more than in a native family structure. This occurs because the parents cannot adjust to the new culture. They prevent themselves from changing so as not to betray their original culture, a culture which could not imagine the demands placed on the immigrants. We can add that when a migrant returns to visit his country and family, the adjustment time is relatively long, because firstly he feels like a stranger and secondly he is being treated like one : they give him the news of what has happened since he left. At the Georges Devereux center, we will try to demonstrate how these parents are reluctant to take changes into consideration. Starting with family therapy, we will look for the imaginary facts that they have built and the others that the co-therapists will bring with them from their many diverse countries traditions and cultural backgrounds to help modify their understanding. |
