| Summary, etc. | « Vais-je réussir à m’intégrer dans la société militaire », « y suis-je à ma place ? », « les autres vont-ils m’accepter, moi qui suis le seul élève officier musulman de ma promotion ? ». Voici les premières questions que je me suis posé lors mon arrivée en 2000 à l’école militaire supérieure d’administration et de management de Montpellier. À travers ce témoignage, soulageant et au combien thérapeutique, nombreux sont ceux qui pourront comprendre la double problématique d’un militaire musulman : la volonté profonde de « s’intégrer » en étant identique à tous les autres militaires et celle de rester soi-même, à travers, notamment, la pratique de sa religion. |

| Summary, etc. | “Will I succeed in integrating into the military society”, “do I belong here”, “will the others accept me, I, the only Muslim officer cadet of my year?” These are the first questions I asked myself when I arrived at the School of Military Administration of Montpellier in 2000. Through this relieving and oh so therapeutic testimony, many are those who will be able to understand the two issues of a Muslim soldier : the profound wish to « become integrated » by being the same as all the other soldiers, and the wish to remain oneself, notably through the practice of one’s religion. |

| Summary, etc. | „Wird es mir gelingen, mich in die militärische Gemeinschaft zu integrieren?”, „Bin ich dort an meinem Platz ?“, „Werden die anderen mich als einzigen muslimischen Offiziersschüler meines Jahrgangs akzeptieren?” Das waren die ersten Fragen, die ich mir im Jahr 2000 bei meiner Ankunft an der Ecole militaire supérieure d’administration et de management de Montpellier (höhere Militärschule für Verwaltung und Management in Montpellier) stellte. Durch diesen hilfreichen und so heilsamen Bericht werden viele die zweifache Problematik eines muslimischen Soldaten verstehen können : der tiefe Wille, sich durch Gleichstellung mit den anderen Soldaten zu „integrieren” und der ebenso starke Wille, die eigene Persönlichkeit zu wahren, was insbesondere im Praktizieren der eigenen Religion Ausdruck findet. |
