Summary, etc. Freud est le premier à souligner que l’enfant ne connaît l’autre et le monde qu’à partir de son propre corps. L’élaboration de l’image du corps est ce qui lui permet d’accéder à l’activité de penser. La première question qui focalise toutes ses investigations n’est pas la différence des sexes, mais la question de son origine : « d’où viennent les enfants » . Freud dégage ainsi trois « théories sexuelles infantiles » que l’enfant s’invente successivement, comme autant de jalons dans cette quête de savoir et de réponses susceptibles de conjurer le désarroi suscité par cette question de son origine. C’est de cette activité psychique qu’il déploie ainsi que dépend la faculté qu’aura l’enfant de construire son corps et sa psyché, en se séparant du corps de la mère pour élaborer sa propre identité.

Summary, etc. Phantasms and Body Representations in Childhood Sexual Theories Freud is the first one to underline the fact that a child knows the other and the world through his/her own body only. Elaborating his /her body picture allows him/her to access the act of thinking. His/her first question as the focus of all his/her investigations is not how different genders are, but the question of his/her origin : « where do children come from ? » That is how Freud unveils three « childhood sexual theories » that children invent in succession, like that many benchmarks in their quest to know and to find answers that might conjure the trouble this question about their origin causes them. From this psychic activity s/he deploys, a child may gain the faculty to build his/her own body and psyche, separating himself/herself from his/her mother’s body in order to elaborate his/her own identity.

Summary, etc. Fantasmi e rappresentazioni del corpo nelle teorie sessuali infantili Freud è il primo a evidenziare che il bambino conosce l’altro e il mondo partendo solo dal proprio corpo. L’elaborazione dell’immagine del corpo è ciò che gli permette di accedere all’attività del pensare. La prima questione che focalizza tutte le sue investigazioni non è quella della differenza sessuale, ma quella della propria origine : “Da dove vengono i figli ?”. Freud ricava quindi tre “teorie sessuali infantili” che il bambino s’inventa l’una dopo l’altra, come altrettante tappe nella sua ricerca del sapere e delle risposte suscettibili di evitare lo smarrimento provocato da questa questione della sua origine. Da questa sua attività psichica dipende la futura capacità del bambino a costruirsi il corpo e la psiche, separandosi dal corpo materno per elaborare la propria identità.
