Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The global Covid-19 pandemic has turned human life upside down, including both our professional lives, friendships and close family bonds. The authors of this paper are both clinical psychologists called to assist hospital staff during this unprecedented crisis, and will present a highly particular reading of this tragedy, seen through 4 pairs of eyes, from 3 perspectives and formulated in 3 stations. The eyes are our own, as psychology professionals, but also those of the painter Francis Bacon and writer Hervé Guibert, whose work resonates with our clinical findings and has contributed to its formulation, formalisation and sublimation. The comparative perspectives brought into play are that of clinical psychology, painting and writing. The three stations relate to three specific moments in the health crisis and the three dimensions of the total war it has triggered. Francis Bacon will shed light on the tragic nature of the crisis through his work Aeschylus, while Hervé Guibert depicts his struggle against Aids as a paradoxical ‘Pieta’ in which the very thing which drags him down also serves to invigorate his literary production. These artistic perspectives will shed light on the regulation of cruel motions and attacks on the body in association with an exploration of these shared intertextual vulnerabilities.
