| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article décrit la création et le développement du Premier Hospice de Samara. Fondé sur les valeurs chrétiennes qui ont été à l’origine du « mouvement des Hospices » moderne, il travaille sur la base de la définition des soins palliatifs de l’OMS. Les principaux obstacles au développement des soins d’hospice en Fédération de Russie comprennent : 1) la politique de santé et son financement ; 2) la communication entre médecins et patients ; 3) la disponibilité des opiacés et d’autres médicaments essentiels. Un partenariat suivi est décrit qui réunit des professionnels russes, suisses et britanniques, et les besoins actuels de l’Hospice sont soulignés, pour lesquels l’aide de structures étrangères serait la bienvenue. |

| Summary, etc. | This article describes the creation and development of the First Hospice of Samara. Founded on the Christian values that were at the origin of the modern « hospice movement », it works on the basis of WHO’s definition of palliative care. Obstacles to the development of palliative care in the Russian Federation include 1) health care policy and financing ; 2) doctor-patient communication ; 3) availability of opiates and other essential drugs. We describe a long-term partnership between Russian, Swiss, and British professionals. The current needs of the Hospice, for which the help of foreign structures would be welcome, are underlined. |
