| Summary, etc. | Le Statut général des militaires a fait l’objet d’une nouvelle rédaction en 2005. La presse en a rendu compte en croyant devoir souligner une disposition présentée comme une grande nouveauté : les militaires se seraient vu désormais reconnaître le droit et même le devoir de désobéir. Or, l’auteur en porte témoignage, ces dispositions sont apparues dès 1966, avec le Règlement de discipline générale venu alors se substituer à celui de 1933. Elles ont été confirmées par le Statut général des militaires de 1972, dans des termes que la nouvelle rédaction de 2005 n’a fait que confirmer. |

| Summary, etc. | The general Status of soldiers was rewritten in 2005. The press announced it, thinking that it had to point out a provision presented as a major new change: From now on soldiers would have their right and even their duty to disobey, recognised. Yet as the author can bear witness to: these provisions appeared as early as 1966, with the Regulation on general discipline which substituted that of 1933. They were confirmed by the general Status of soldiers of 1972, in terms which the new text of 2005 merely reconfirmed. |
