| Summary, etc. | Août 1995. Le général Bachelet prend le commandement de la forpronu du secteur de Sarajevo. Le siège de la ville, qui dure depuis trois ans, est alors à son paroxysme. Il prend fin quatre mois plus tard. Mais malgré la réussite de sa mission, le général est rappelé à Paris, accusé de soutenir la cause des Serbes de Bosnie. Il attendra vingt ans pour mettre par écrit souvenirs et analyses de ces quatre derniers mois de siège. C’est chose faite dans un magnifique livre. |

It ended four months later. But despite the success of his mission, the general was recalled to Paris and accused of supporting the cause of the Bosnian Serbs. He waited 20 years before setting down in writing his memories and analyses of these last four months of the siege. These are now presented in a magnificent book. |
