| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’hospitalisation en psychiatrie est une modalité thérapeutique peu fréquente chez l’adolescent. Cependant, quand elle est nécessaire, elle s’adresse à des situations particulièrement aiguës sur le plan symptomatique ou résistante au traitement ambulatoire.La question d’un traitement psychotrope est donc très fréquente lors d’une hospitalisation. Il faudra être particulièrement vigilant aux particularités de la relation thérapeutique qu’amène l’hospitalisation et prendre en considération que l’hospitalisation n’est qu’une petite partie du parcours thérapeutique. Le choix des traitements est peu codifié dans cette tranche d’âge et s’appuie souvent plus sur des transpositions de pratiques chez l’adulte que sur des données claires de la littérature scientifique. Le recours à des prescriptions hors AMM est fréquent et impose une grande rigueur de prescription et une information précise et argumentée au patient et à ses parents. |

Therefore, prescription of psychotropic drugs is particularly frequent in hospitalised adolescents. Great attention should be given to the particularities of the in-patient prescription. Doctors will have to keep in mind that hospitalisation is an important but small part of the whole treatment history. Choice of psychotropic drugs in this population is not well codified. There is few studies concerning efficiency and tolerance at this age, and practices are often based on adult studies. Moreover, regarding to the lack of studies, off-label prescription is very frequent and imposes to be very rigorous and to give a clear and reasoned information to the patient and his parents. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenLa hospitalización en psiquiatría es una modalidad terapéutica poco frecuente en el adolescente. Sin embargo, cuando es necesaria, se aplica en situaciones particularmente agudas en el plano sintomático o resistentes al tratamiento ambulatorio. Por ello el tema del tratamiento psicótropo es una cuestión frecuente durante la hospitalización. Es preciso tener en cuenta las particularidades de la relación terapéutica que conlleva la hospitalización y no olvidar que la hospitalización no es más que una pequeña parte del recorrido terapéutico. Las opciones de tratamiento están poco codificadas para esta edad y a menudo se basan más en transposiciones de la práctica en el adulto que en datos claros de la literatura científica. La utilización de prescripciones que no corresponden a las recomendaciones oficiales son frecuentes lo cual impone un gran rigor en la prescripción y una información precisa y argumentada para el paciente y sus padres. |
