| Summary, etc. | When a child announces his or her homosexuality to the parents, the latter often feel as though a kind of shock wave had welled up, bringing with it anger, guilt and incomprehension, whereas for the homosexual child, after years of suffering and dissimulation, coming out can be a tremendous release. How can parents confronted by this painful and traumatic experience be brought to overcome their prejudices ? How can dialogue be restored for it to play a constructive role ?
