En effet, l’approche classique trouve son origine dans le débat sur les implications politiques du développement du commerce et du luxe, qui marque le 18e siècle, mais l’oriente vers une conception particulière qui associe le luxe à une sorte d’innovation sociale pour expliquer l’enrichissement des nations. In the 18th century this school of thought was based on the political implications of trade and luxury, conceived as a kind of social innovation explaining the wealth of nations.
