| Summary, etc. | RésuméUne enquête observationnelle des pratiques hospitalières de prescription du lithium (Li) a été réalisée du 1er au 5 mars 2010 au centre hospitalisé spécialisé de Bordeaux. L’objectif de ce travail était de faire le point sur les pratiques de prescriptions du Li pour apprécier leur adéquation avec les règles de bon usage de ce médicament. L’objectif secondaire était d’évaluer la tolérance du Li, notamment thyroïdienne et rénale. Les résultats de l’étude montrent une discordance entre les pratiques cliniques et les recommandations, notamment en termes d’adaptation posologique. De plus, nos résultats montrent un risque majoré d’hypothyroïdie et une tendance à la diminution de la clairance de la créatinine (Clcreat) chez les patients traités depuis plus de trois ans. |

| Summary, etc. | Evaluation of prescription practices of Lithium in the psychiatric hospital of BordeauxAn observational study of the prescribing practices of lithium was realized in the Charles-Perrens hospital in Bordeaux, France. This study was planned from 1st to 5th March 2010.The aim of this work was to review the prescription practices of lithium to evaluate their adequacy with the guidance of use of this narrow therapeutic range drug. The secondary objective was to evaluate the tolerance of lithium, with a focus on its thyroid and renal toxicity. The study highlighted differences between clinical practices and guidelines, in particular in terms of lithium therapeutic drug monitoring. Our results show an increased risk of hypothyroidism and a tendency of decrease in creatinine clearance in patients treated for more than 3 years. |

| Summary, etc. | Litio : Encuesta observacional sobre prescripción en el centro hospitalario Charles-Perrens de BurdeosUna encuesta observacional de las prácticas hospitalarias sobre prescripción de litio (Li) se ha llevado a cabo del 1 al 5 de marzo de 2010 en el centro hospitalario especializado de Burdeos. El objetivo de este trabajo era elaborar un balance sobre las prácticas de prescripciones del Li para apreciar su adecuación con las reglas del uso correcto de este medicamento. Como objetivo secundario, evaluar la tolerancia del Li, particularmente tiroidiana y renal. Los resultados del estudio arrojan una discordancia entre las prácticas clínicas y las recomendaciones, particularmente en términos de adaptación posológica. Por otra parte, nuestros resultados señalan un riesgo agravado de hipotiroides y una tendencia hacia la disminución de la clarencia de la creatinina en los pacientes tratados desde hace más de 3 años. |
