| Summary, etc. | L’introduction des normes managériales (ou normes de système de management – NSM) dans une organisation représente un changement qui questionne en matière d’innovation : en quoi ces NSM représentent-elles une innovation et quelles innovations sont-elles susceptibles de susciter ? Peu de travaux ont étudié le lien entre normes et innovation. S’ils présentent un certain consensus sur les effets organisationnels, ils sont beaucoup plus nuancés sur les effets en matière d’innovation sur le produit, le marché ou les processus de production. La dimension incrémentale du principe d’amélioration continue associée aux NSM, ainsi que la focalisation sur l’analyse des processus ne favoriseraient pas les innovations de rupture mais simplement les améliorations des routines. Par ailleurs, les effets des NSM ne peuvent être isolés du contexte technico-scientifique et de la pratique des autres outils qualité dans l’entreprise. Cela rend difficile l’évaluation exacte du poids des NSM dans les phénomènes d’innovation.Codes JEL : O13, M19 |

| Summary, etc. | The Intangible role of ISO certification in the innovation processThe introduction of managerial standards (or management system standards of management – MSS) within organizations represents a change which questions in regards to innovation : do MSS represent an innovation and which innovations may arise from them ? Few works studied the link between standards and innovation. Although there is a consensus on the organizational effects of the introduction of MSS, there are various approaches on the impacts in terms of innovation on product, market or processes of production. The incremental dimension of the principle of continuous improvement linked with MSS, as well as the focus on the analysis of the processes would not favor breakthrough innovations but simply the improvements of routines. Besides, the effects of MSS cannot be isolated from the technic and scientific context and from the practice of the other quality tools in organizations. It makes difficult the exact assessment of the weight of MSS in the phenomena of innovation.JEL Codes : O13, M19 |
