| Summary, etc. | RésuméLes études en imagerie cérébrale ont montré une superposition des réseaux du langage et des hallucinations acousticoverbales (HAV). Par conséquent, l’exploration en imagerie cérébrale des réseaux du langage permet de mieux comprendre la physiopathologie des HAV. Dans cet article, trois types d’études sont discutés. Premièrement, nous détaillons les études portant sur la spécialisation hémisphérique pour le langage et sa relation avec les HAV. Deuxièmement, nous examinons trois hypothèses cognitives des HAV dans la schizophrénie : une compétition entre HAV et stimuli auditifs verbaux dans l’activation des aires de langage, un défaut d’identification du langage intérieur et une mauvaise identification de la source du langage intérieur. Enfin, nous présentons l’intérêt de l’imagerie cérébrale fonctionnelle pour déterminer la cible d’un traitement par stimulation magnétique transcrânienne répétitive (rTMS) chez les patients souffrant de schizophrénie et d’HAV. |

| Summary, etc. | Networks of language and hallucinationsThe brain imaging studies have shown an overlying network of language and acoustic-verbal hallucinations (HAVs). Therefore, exploring brain imaging of language networks permits to better understand the pathophysiology of HAVs. In this paper, three types of studies are discussed. First, we describe studies of hemispheric specialization concerning language and its relationship with HAVs. Second, we examine three cognitive hypotheses of HAVs in schizophrenia: a relationship between HAVs and verbal auditory stimuli in the activation of language areas, a lack of identification of internal language and a misidentification of the source of the inner language. Finally, we present the value of functional brain imaging to determine the target of treatment by repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in patients with schizophrenia and HAVs. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenLos estudios de imagen cerebral han mostrado una superposición de las redes del lenguaje y de las alucinaciones acustico-verbales (AAVs o HAVs por su sigla en francés). Por consiguiente, la exploración por imagen cerebral de las redes del lenguaje permite comprender mejor la fisiopatología de las AAVs. En este artículo, se discuten tres tipos de estudios. Primero, pormenorizamos los estudios centrados en la especialización hemisférica para el lenguaje y su relación con las AAVS. Luego, examinamos tres hipótesis cognitivas de las AAVs en la esquizofrenia: una competición entre AAVs y stimuli auditivos verbales en la activación de las áreas del lenguaje, una carencia de identificación del lenguaje interior y una incorrecta identificación de la fuente del lenguaje interior. Por fin, presentamos el interés de la imagen cerebral funcional para determinar la diana de un tratamiento por estimulación magnética transcraneal repetitiva (rTMS) en los pacientes afectados de esquizofrenia y de AAVs. |
