Nombre d’adultes font difficilement face à la mort d’un enfant ou aux idées suicidaires de celui-ci, par le côté inacceptable de la situation. Chez l’enfant, l’acte suicidaire est davantage le fait d’une impulsion que d’une réflexion. L’auteur propose une discussion sur la tentative de suicide de l’enfant prépubère, en rappelant quelques aspects liés au concept de mort, en abordant les mécanismes psychiques qui sous-tendent l’agir mortifère, en évoquant les éléments principaux de prise en charge, et ce, à la lumière de situations cliniques. |

| Summary, etc. | Understanding and Care Management of a Child Suicide AttemptAt a time when scientific progress authorizes greater longevity and better health, the individual surrounds himself by multiple defences when facing death, a death which is sometimes feared to the point of denial. Many adults find it difficult to deal with the death of a child or with the suicidal ideas in this situation, due to the unacceptable aspect of the situation. In the child, the suicidal act is more an impulse rather than a reflection. The author proposes a discussion on the suicide attempt of the pre-pubescent child, by underlining some aspects related to the concept of death, as well as by approaching the psychic mechanisms which underlie this concept, by evoking the principal elements of the assumption of responsibility, moreover in the light of clinical situations. |

A muchos adultos se les hace cuesta arriba considerar la muerte de un niño o las ideas suicidas del mismo por el aspecto inaceptable de la situación. En el niño, el acto suicida es más el producto de la impulsión que de una reflexión. El autor propone un debate sobre el intento de suicidio del niño pre-púber, recordando algunos aspectos vinculados al concepto de muerte, abordando los mecanismos psíquicos que sustentan el actuar mortífero, evocando los principales elementos de atención, y ello, a la luz de situaciones clínicas. |
