Summary, etc. | RésuméLa technique de suivi du regard permet de mesurer directement, de façon objective et précise le déploiement de l’attention visuelle. Dans les troubles du spectre de l’autisme, elle a majoritairement été utilisée pour étudier les particularités de la perception/cognition sociale. L’objectif de cet article est de fournir un aperçu de l’utilisation de la technique de suivi du regard dans l’étude des TSA et d’illustrer l’apport de cette technique dans la compréhension des difficultés socio-communicatives. Les difficultés de « monitoring social », de perception des visages et du regard sont notamment discutées, de même que les perspectives futures d’utilisation en recherche et en clinique. |

Summary, etc. | The use of eye tracking technology in the study of autism spectrum disordersEye tracking technology allows to measure directly, objectively and accurately the deployment of visual attention. Eye tracking has been mainly used in Autism Spectrum Disorders to study social perception and cognition. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of eye tracking studies in ASD and to illustrate how this method can improve our understanding of socio-communicative difficulties in individuals with ASD. Difficulties of social monitoring, face perception and the other's gaze interpretation are discussed above as well as future avenues for research and potential uses in clinical settings. |

Summary, etc. | ResumenLa técnica de seguimiento de la mirada permite medir directamente, de modo objetivo y preciso el despliegue de la atención visual. En los Trastornos del Espectro del Autismo, la misma ha sido utilizada mayoritariamente para estudiar las particularidades de la percepción/cognición social. El objetivo de este artículo es proporcionar una muestra de la utilización de la técnica de seguimiento de la mirada en el estudio de los TEA e ilustrar la aportación de esta técnica en la comprensión de las dificultades socio-comunicativas. Las dificultades del “monitoring social”, de percepción de las caras y de la mirada están particularmente a debate, lo mismo que las perspectivas futuras de utilización en investigación y clínica. |
