| Summary, etc. | Si un mouvement commun de déshospitalisation et d’encadrement légal de la contrainte psychiatrique s’observe en Europe, on observe de grandes différences dans la chronologie et les formes de ces régulations explicites, ainsi que d’importantes variations dans les usages des pratiques de contraintes et au sein même de chaque État. Cet article revient ainsi sur les spécificités du cadre légal des contraintes psychiatriques en Suisse, puis analyse dans une perspective sociologique deux situations d’hôpitaux où le recours à la contrainte a été effectivement réduit. Il s’agit ainsi de mettre en lumière l’activité de régulation opérée au niveau institutionnel, maillon essentiel dans la gestion de ces pratiques. On entend ainsi contribuer à une réflexion sur l’injonction à la réduction de (certaines formes de) la contrainte, en restituant les pratiques dans leur contexte social et institutionnel. |

Uses and regulation of the uses of psychiatric constraint in SwitzerlandIf a common movement of deinstitutionalization and legal supervision of psychiatric restraint is observed in Europe, we also observe major differences in chronology and forms of those explicit regulations, as well as important variations in the uses of coercion practices in each state. This article returns to the specificities of the legal framework of psychiatric coercions in Switzerland and then analyzes, from a sociological perspective, two situations in hospitals where the use of coercion has been effectively reduced. It is an attempt to highlight the regulatory activity carried out at the institutional level, an essential link in the management of these practices. It further aims to contribute to reflection about injunction to reduce certain forms of coercion, by restoring practices in their social and institutional context. |

| Summary, etc. | Si un movimiento común de deshospitalización y encuadre legal de la coacción psiquiátrica está observándose en Europa, se observan también grandes diferencias en la cronología y las formas de estas regulaciones explícitas, así como importantes variaciones en los usos de las prácticas de coacción y dentro del propio Estado. Este artículo repasa así las especificidades del marco legal de la coacción psiquiátrica en Suiza, y luego analiza dentro de una perspectiva sociológica dos situaciones de dos hospitales en los que se vio reducido efectivamente el recurso a la coacción. Asimismo se trata de poner el foco en la actividad de regulación llevada a cabo a nivel institucional, eslabón esencial en la gestión de estas prácticas. Se espera así contribuir a una reflexión sobre el requerimiento de reducción de (ciertas formas de) la coacción, restituyendo las prácticas en su contexto social e institucional. |
