520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Lacan presents a clinical case in his psychiatry thesis in 1932. He traces the evolution of his patient Aimée but it seems to us that he neglects an important element of her story: her affair with a poet. We think that it is partially because it does not perfectly fit in with his demonstration of the pervasiveness of the Imaginary. However, this blind spot provides the opportunity to reconsider the relationship between meaning, ethics, and love.First, we shall outline the circumstances of the love story between Aimée and a poet. Then we shall detail Lacan's approach relating to this affair. Subsequently, we shall offer some hypotheses as to why he does not linger on this particular biographical element of his patient. Is it because it does not involve the feminine complex? Is it because it is real? Is it because it is not motivated by guilt? It will provide us with insight into the way love is seen in this period by Lacan. Finally, we will present our results. |

Summary, etc. |
