| Summary, etc. | RésuméLa santé sexuelle fait partie de la qualité de vie et du bien-être global. Elle est fréquemment altérée pendant les traitements du cancer et/ou au décours de la prise en charge, de façon durable, souvent plusieurs années après le diagnostic du cancer. Pourtant le thème de la santé sexuelle reste peu abordé tout au long du parcours patient en oncologie, les professionnels de santé ne sont que très peu sensibilisés à ce sujet et les offres de prise en charge spécialisée restent rares. Les recommandations nationales et internationales promeuvent la prévention, le dépistage et la prise en charge précoce des troubles sexuels chez les patients traités pour un cancer. Afin de répondre à ces objectifs, l’Institut du cancer de Montpellier (ICM) a développé une filière d’oncosexologie avec un programme de promotion de la santé sexuelle ayant pour objectifs : la formation et sensibilisation du personnel soignant, l’information des patients, la systématisation du dépistage des troubles sexuels et l’accès à l’offre de prise en charge multidisciplinaire. |

| Summary, etc. | Sexual health contributes towards quality of life and overall well-being. It is frequently impaired during cancer treatments and/or in the aftermath of treatment in the long-term, often several years after the diagnosis of cancer. However, the theme of sexual health continues to be barely addressed throughout a patient’s oncological journey, as healthcare professionals have little understanding of the subject, and specialised treatment remains scarce. National and international recommendations encourage prevention, testing and early treatment of sexual problems in patients treated for cancer. In order to meet these objectives, the Institut du Cancer de Montpellier (ICM) has developed an oncosexology service including a sexual health promotion programme aiming to train and raise awareness among healthcare staff, inform patients, systematically screen for sexual problems and ensure access to multidisciplinary treatment. |
