Sont laissés de côté la révolution socialiste et le développement de l’assistance infanto-juvénile. L’historiographie psychiatrique cubaine ne commence à parler de cette assistance qu’au xixe siècle et l’auteur s’interroge sur ce qui s’est passé dans les périodes antérieures à cette date. Au xxe siècle, diverses formes d’assistance publique et privée ont existé avec un accès difficile pour la population aux services de santé mentale. Les caractéristiques de base de chaque étape sont décrites. |

Not included are the Socialist Revolution and the development of child welfare. Cuban psychiatric historiography begins its accounts of this assistance in the nineteenth century, and the author wonders about what happened in periods prior to that date. In the twentieth century, there were various forms of public and private assistance, with the population finding it difficult to access mental health services. La historiografía psiquiátrica cubana sólo empieza a hablar de esta asistencia en el siglo XIX y el autor se pregunta sobre lo ocurrido en periodos anteriores a esa fecha. En el siglo XX existieron diversas formas de asistencia pública y privada con difícil acceso a los servicios de salud mental para la población. Se describen las características básicas de cada etapa. |
