| Summary, etc. | Les établissements de santé sont aujourd’hui confrontés à un véritable tournant gestionnaire, porteur d’une multitude d’outils de gestion. Dans quelle mesure ces politiques et instruments sont-ils compris, utilisés et appropriés par les acteurs ?Après un rapide aperçu théorique sur la notion d’appropriation des outils de gestion, dans le cadre de la théorie de la régulation sociale, nous analyserons, au travers du discours de la directrice d’un petit établissement de soins de suite*, la manière dont elle s’est saisie des outils pour s’engager dans une véritable dynamique de « régulation conjointe » (Reynaud, 1988) avec les tutelles et les acteurs du secteur structurant son activité. Nous verrons comment le jeu avec les outils de gestion à des fins stratégiques peut ainsi devenir un des ressorts principaux de la compétence et de la performance des dirigeants de petits établissements. |

| Summary, etc. | Using management tools as a new strategic competenceHealthcare centres are now facing a managerial turn, which brings in many different management tools. To what extent these policies and instruments are understood, used and appropriated by the actors ?After a quick overview on the theoretical concept of appropriation of management tools within the framework of the theory of social regulation, we will analyze, through the speech of the director of a small follow-up care centre, how she seized the tools to engage in a real dynamic of « joint regulation » (Reynaud, 1988) with the regulatory bodies and stakeholders of the field. We’ll see how the game with management tools for strategic purposes can become one of the mainsprings of competence and performance of leaders of small healthcare centres. |
