| Summary, etc. | RésuméAu Chili, on constate un manque évident d’équité dans la distribution des revenus. Cette inégalité crée des problèmes dans le domaine de la santé. Cette situation, injuste, constitue une atteinte à la dignité humaine, tout être humain étant égal par nature. Elle va à l’encontre de la justice sociale, de l’équité et de la dignité de la personne humaine.Le présent article vise à appliquer des principes émanant de la doctrine sociale de l’église catholique au domaine de la santé. Il offre des alternatives afin de faciliter l’analyse et l’évaluation de l’interaction entre ces principes et les données médicales. Ce document expose également les différences subtiles qui existent entre les concepts d’équité et d’égalité qui sont souvent confondus et utilisés indistinctement. La définition de ces termes et de leur spécificité est le but de cet article. |

| Summary, etc. | In Chile there is an evident lack of equity in the distribution of revenue. This inequality creates problems in the field of healthcare. This unfair situation constitutes an infringement of human dignity, since all human beings are equal by nature. It goes against social justice, equity and the dignity of the human person. This article aims to apply principles that come from the social doctrine of the Catholic church to the field of healthcare. It offers alternatives so as to facilitate analysis and assessment of the interaction between these principles and the medical data. This document also exposes the subtle differences between the concepts of equity and equality which are often confused and used indiscriminately. The definition and specificity of these terms is the aim of this article. |
