| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’éthique clinique, telle qu’instituée dans les comités, vise la résolution de problèmes éthiques au moyen d’une délibération interdisciplinaire. L’élucidation et la délibération sont alors utilisées comme des moyens pragmatiques ordonnés à une finalité de prise de décision. Ce faisant, on peut s’interroger si l’éthique clinique ne se trouve pas émondée de son potentiel réflexif critique plus global. Les approches narratives ouvrent certaines pistes pour penser cette fonction critique, mais elles nous apparaissent toutefois encore insuffisantes pour ce faire. Nous proposons d’explorer la fécondité heuristique et pratique des concepts de discursivité – plus englobant que celui de narrativité –, et de co-autorité – que nous aurons à situer et à articuler avec les notions de pouvoir, d’expertise et de normativité –, afin de penser à nouveau frais le rôle et les fonctions d’un comité d’éthique clinique dans une institution de soins, et par conséquent de l’apport possible de l’éthique clinique tant au niveau du processus de délibération qu’à la réflexion critique sur les pratiques. Pour atteindre ce résultat, nous proposons la démarche suivante. Premièrement, nous cernerons les limites des propositions narratives actuelles. Deuxièmement, nous présenterons le concept de discursivité à partir de travaux inscrits dans la foulée des éthiques de la discussion. Troisièmement, nous exposerons notre définition du concept de co-autorité dans un espace discursif qui inclut à la fois les acteurs de la situation clinique et ceux de la délibération. Enfin, quatrièmement, nous tirerons les conséquences pour une théorie critique du rôle et des fonctions d’un comité d’éthique clinique. |

| Summary, etc. | Clinical ethics, as instituted in committees, aims to solve ethical problems by means of interdisciplinary deliberation. Elucidation and deliberation are used as pragmatic means whose finality is decision-making. This being so, it may be wondered if clinical ethics has not been pruned of its more global critical potential. Narrative approaches open some ways of thinking of this critical function, but they seem to us to be nevertheless still insufficient for the task. We propose to explore the heuristic and practical fertility of the concepts of discursiveness – more inclusive than narrativity –, and co-authority – that we will have to situate and relate to notions of power, expertise and normativity –, in order to give fresh thought to the role and functions of a clinical ethics committee in a health care institution, and consequently the possible contribution of clinical ethics both as deliberation process and critical reflection of practices. To achieve this result, we propose the following approach. First of all, we will identify the limits of current narrative proposals. Secondly, we will present the concept of discursiveness based on work that follows on from the ethics of discussion. Thirdly, we will expose our definition of the concept of co-authority in a discursive space which includes both the actors of the clinical situation and the actors of the deliberation. Fourthly and finally, we will draw the consequences for a critical theory of the role and functions of a clinical ethics committee. |
