520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Marc Galanter wrote this new introduction on the occasion of the French translation of his article “Why the ‘Haves’ Come out Ahead”. He revisits the conditions under which the article was written and published, explicitly insisting on the role of his Indian experience. M. Galanter also points out the reasons why, according to him, the analysis remains valid today, and can even be radicalized, taking into account the transformation of the American bar in the direction of an increasing influence of big corporations. This trend is also reinforced by the way elites, who benefit most from the system, have managed to discredit and weaken judiciary power.
