| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article a été inspiré par un accident survenu dans un hôpital lorsqu’une femme enceinte est décédée sur la table d’opération parce que son mari ne voulait pas signer le formulaire de consentement à l’opération. Ce qui se cache derrière cette tragédie est la crise de confiance entre médecins et patients en Chine. Cette crise est le résultat de l’introduction du marché dans le domaine du système de santé, ce qui génère une relation déséquilibrée entre médecins et patients. Une telle relation empêche les patients de protéger activement leurs droits. D’un point de vue bio-éthique, la santé est un droit fondamental pour tous. Afin d’améliorer la relation médecin-patient, les droits à la santé doivent être considérés comme une priorité lorsqu’une politique est élaborée. Bien que le gouvernement chinois essaie de mettre en place une couverture universelle en matière de santé, ce qui constitue un vrai progrès, il existe toujours des problèmes et des difficultés à égaliser le statut des patients par rapport aux médecins et à reconstruire une relation médecin-patient bienveillante. |

| Summary, etc. | This article is inspired by an accident in a hospital where a pregnant woman died on the operating table because her husband was unwilling to sign the operation consent form. What’s lurking behind this tragedy is the crisis of faith between doctors and patients in China. The crisis is a product of the Marketization of the health care system, which generates an unequal relationship between doctors and patients. Such a relationship makes patients unable to actively protect their rights. From a bioethical perspective, health is a basic right for everyone. In order to improve the physician-patient relationship, health rights must be considered as a priority in policy making. Although the Chinese government has been trying to implement universal health coverage, a progress indeed, problems and difficulties still exist in equalizing status between patients and doctors and in rebuilding a benign physicianpatient relationship. |
