| Summary, etc. | La période des 2 et 3 ans est marquée par une forte opposition de l’enfant à ses parents. Elle peut être considérée comme une « petite adolescence » dans la mesure où le sujet accède à une nouvelle indépendance tout en ne voulant pas perdre les acquis d’une situation précédente de dépendance. L’auteur émet l’hypothèse que cette « bataille identitaire » est le signe d’une « révolution » radicale chez l’enfant. Dans une première partie il indique que cette période implique une transformation de l’image du corps de l’enfant et donc des enveloppes psychiques entre lui et ses parents. Le travail d’attention et de contenance des parents est très intriqué aux enjeux pulsionnels propres à leurs relations. L’utilisation paradoxale de la négation verbale (le « non ») montre le dilemme dans laquelle le jeune enfant se trouve entre une modalité d’être-avec-l’autre où domine des communications non-verbales et la possibilité d’une aire de partage au niveau langagier. Dans une seconde partie des exemples illustrent le devenir possible de ce dilemme : sa cristallisation et sa persistance, sa réduction au contraire quand les forces d’opposition supplantent le bénéfice de l’accès au langage ou quand, à l’opposé, l’enfant se construit en faux-self en déniant son « soi-bébé ». Cette période qui est profondément inscrite dans des enjeux intersubjectifs conditionne l’existence d’une maturation des conflits intrapsychiques. |

It can be considered as a “small adolescence” insofar as the subject accedes to a new independence while not wanting to lose the gains of a previous situation of dependence. The author hypothesizes that this “identity battle” is the sign of a radical “revolution” in the child. In the first part he indicates that this period implies a transformation of the child’s body image and therefore of the psychic envelopes between him and his parents. The containing work and the attention of parents are very much intertwined with the drive issues specific to their relationship. The paradoxical use of verbal negation (the “no”) shows the dilemma in which the young child finds himself between a modality of being-with-the other where non-verbal communication dominates and the possibility of a sharing area at the linguistic level. In the second part, examples illustrate the possible future of this dilemma: its crystallization and persistence, its reduction on the contrary when the forces of opposition supplant the benefit of access to language or when, on the contrary, the child builds a false self by denying his or her “baby self”. This period, which is deeply inscribed in intersubjective issues, conditions the existence of a maturation of intrapsychic conflicts. |
