| Summary, etc. | L’article propose d’analyser l’accord de Nouméa signé le 5 mai 1998 entre les trois forces et légitimités politiques alors en présence, la France représentée par l’État, la Kanaky du flnks (Front de libération nationale kanak et socialiste) et la Nouvelle-Calédonie dans la République française du rpcr (Rassemblement pour la Calédonie dans la République française), pour montrer comment le dispositif politique met en place un transfert de souveraineté partagée conditionné à une indépendance mise entre parenthèses et une mise à l’écart de la souveraineté de Kanaky. L’accord de Nouméa est présenté de manière consensuelle comme un chef d’œuvre de décolonisation alors qu’il programme de manière ordonnée une recolonisation qui fait le jeu géopolitique et stratégique de la France en Océanie. |

| Summary, etc. | The article analyzes the Nouméa Accord signed on May 5, 1998 between the three political forces and legitimacies (then involved): France represented by the state, the Kanaky of the flnks (Kanak and Socialist National Liberation Front), and New Caledonia in the French Republic of the rpcr (Rally for New Caledonia in the French Republic), to show how the current political arrangements introduce a transfer of shared sovereignty conditional on setting independence aside and shelving the sovereignty of Kanaky. The Nouméa Accord is presented in a consensual manner as a masterpiece of decolonization, whereas it is programming an ordered recolonization that meets the geopolitical and strategic goals of France in Oceania. |
