| Summary, etc. | La Convention cadre des Nations unies sur les changements climatiques ( ccnucc) a été créée pour apporter des réponses collectives aux défis lancés par les changements climatiques. Depuis sa création, les petits États insulaires en développement ( peid) ont joué un rôle majeur dans les négociations climatiques. Menacés dans leur existence même, les représentants insulaires ont fait entendre les voix des populations les plus vulnérables face aux changements climatiques. Cruciaux dans la dynamique de négociation, force d’entraînement vers davantage « d’ambition climat », les insulaires arguent de l’urgence d’accélérer la lutte contre les changements climatiques et d’une nécessaire solidarité internationale.Cet article s’intéresse à ce qui rassemble et à ce qui différencie les pays et territoires océaniens entre eux, ainsi qu’à leurs rapports aux groupes de négociations auxquels ils appartiennent. S’appuyant sur les expériences professionnelles des auteurs dans les négociations climat entre 2013 et 2017, l’article analyse les enjeux de négociation, le positionnement des acteurs océaniens et les répercussions de ce positionnement pour l’Océanie. |

| Summary, etc. | The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change ( unfccc) has been created to resolve collectively the challenges posed by climate change. Small island developing States ( sids) played a crucial role for the creation of the Convention and are continuing to play a major role in multilateral negotiations related to climate change issues. Fight against climate change represents an existential threat for those countries and territories and they are raising the voices of the most vulnerable populations in the negotiations. Instrumental in the negotiation dynamic to raise climate ambition, sids call on the urgency and the international solidarity to accelerate fight against climate change.This article explores the links, but also the differences between Pacific Island countries and territories ( picts), as well as the links with various negotiating groups they belong to. Building on their personal knowledge and professional experience in climate negotiations between 2013 and 2017, the authors propose an analysis of negotiating issues and the positioning of actors from Oceania, together with the consequences of such positioning for Oceania. |
