| Summary, etc. | Dans les zones urbaines de Tahiti, nombre de savoir-faire utilisés autrefois ne sont plus. Pour autant, ces savoirs ne se perdent pas nécessairement, ils sont transmis à travers de nouvelles perspectives. L'une d'elles est le Heiva i Tahiti, le plus grand concours de danse polynésienne, qui permet à certains savoirs, à la fois sur la mythologie, sur la langue et sur l'environnement, de continuer à exister grâce à l'engouement actuel pour la danse tahitienne. L’auteur propose à travers cet article d’observer comment le ‘ori tahiti permet à ces connaissances d’avoir encore une place dans la vie de ceux qui vivent dans les zones urbaines actuelles. Il s’agira donc d’observer les modalités de transmission prenant place aujourd'hui. |

| Summary, etc. | In Tahiti’s urban areas, many skills – or “ savoir-faire” – used in the past are no longer useful. However, these knowledges are not necessarily lost, they are passed on through new perspectives. One of those is the Heiva i Tahiti, the biggest competition of Polynesian dance, which allows some of those knowledges, encompassing aspects about mythology, language or environment, to continue to exist thanks to the actual interest for the Tahitian dances. The author proposes through this paper to examine how the ‘ori tahiti allows these knowledges to have a place in the life of those who live in the actual urban areas. It will therefore be a question of observing modalities of transmission taking place today. |
