| Summary, etc. | Le but de cet article est d’apporter une description sémantique de voyons voir afin de vérifier son évolution. Voyons voir est une locution verbale transitive depuis la fin du xvie siècle et devient, surtout à partir du xixe siècle, un marqueur de perception. Voyons voir a subi un processus de pragmaticalisation où la valeur impérative et la transitivité de la locution se sont perdues. Nous présenterons les propriétés sémantiques de voyons voir soutenues par des critères linguistiques opératoires, afin de définir un marqueur de perception non nécessairement visuelle. |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this article is to provide a semantic description of voyons voir in order to verify its evolution. Voyons voir is a transitive verbal expression since the end of the 16th century and has become, especially from the 19th century, a marker of perception. Voyons voir has undergone a process of pragmaticalization where the imperative value and the transitivity of the locution have been lost. We will present the semantic properties of voyons voir supported by operative linguistic criteria, in order to define a perception marker that is not necessarily visual. |
