À la différence des autres types de noms propres de personnes, ces anthroponymes ne permettent pas à l’interlocuteur d’identifier clairement le référent. Après avoir montré le statut ambivalent des anthroponymes indéfinis, dont certaines caractéristiques rappellent la catégorie du nom commun, nous en présenterons les principaux types et emplois dans les deux langues. Nous en étudierons ensuite quelques aspects sémantiques, pragmatiques et syntaxiques ainsi que les principales fonctions dans l’interaction verbale. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper deals with indefinite anthroponyms in French and German. Unlike other types of personal names, these anthroponyms don’t reveal the identity of the referent. After showing the ambivalent status of indefinite anthroponyms, which share some features with the common noun category, we will present the main types and uses of this kind of nouns in both languages. Finally, some semantic, pragmatic and syntactic aspects and functions in verbal interaction will be discussed. |
