| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article présente les enseignements sur le corps et les émotions donnés aux jeunes Touaregs au moment de leur puberté. Les filles, avant leur menstruation, sont préparées à comprendre le fonctionnement du corps féminin et à savoir que, dès les premières pertes de sang, elles devront se soumettre à une autodiscipline qui les protègera de toute perturbation affective pour ne pas perturber leur cycle biologique. Dès lors, elles se rendront à plusieurs reprises chez des femmes savantes afin de recevoir plusieurs degrés d’enseignements. Les garçons, pour qui il est plus difficile de déterminer le début précis de la puberté, reçoivent une éducation sexuelle moins formelle. Pour les deux sexes, l’acquisition d’un certain savoir est honorée par l’attribution d’un voile de tête qui permet aux filles comme aux garçons de devenir l’objet d’un nouveau regard. |

Before the first menstruation, girls are prepared to understand the functioning of the female body. Starting with the first menstrual flow they have to keep a self discipline that protects them from all emotional perturbation which could disturb the menstrual cycle. Several times, they will go to see wise women to receive different levels of teaching. For boys it is more difficult to determine the exact beginning of puberty, and their sexual education is less formal. Both sexes get a veil as a recognition for the knowledge they acquired ; the veil allows them to become the object of a new type of gaze. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenEste artículo presenta las enseñanzas sobre el cuerpo y las emociones que son dadas a los jóvenes tuaregs en el momento de su pubertad. Las niñas, antes de su menstruación, son preparadas para comprender el funcionamiento del cuerpo feminino y a saber que desde la primera perdida de sangre deberán someterse a una auto disciplina que las protegerá de toda perturbación afectiva para no perturbar su ciclo biológico. Ellas irán entonces muchas veces a encontrar las mujeres eruditas con el fin de recibir diferentes grados de enseñanza. Los niños, para quienes es más difícil determinar el comienzo preciso de la pubertad, reciben una educación sexual menos formal. Para los dos sexos, la adquisición de un cierto saber es honrada con la atribución de un velo sobre la cabeza que permite tanto a las niñas como a los niños de ser el objeto de una mirada nueva. |
