Such studies, presented here in two parts—“short forms” and treatises—, highlight three different perspectives on the way to approach the subject: a very marked interest in “short forms” (which goes well beyond the seventeenth century), a form of research that inscribes moral literature within the history of ideas, and finally a focus on its more clearly philosophical aspects. |
