520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | From cultural to therapeuticThis article has for starting point a cross-cultural psychotraumatical situation in which magical and religious faiths (Haitian voodoo) are evoked. The author tries to retranscribe this clinical situation : he is going to describe the therapeutical process used (the Winnicott squiggle) and the dynamic movements at play. His anthropological and clinical analysis questions the western therapist about his care system, in other words about his desire for control. He shows that the meeting with cultural otherness in psychotherapeutic situations invites us here to « let go », to be allowed to be surprised by the unexpected, in short, to experience one’s own self through one’s otherness in itself. He thus questions the « logic of the place » of where one is. |

Summary, etc. |
