Summary, etc. | Cet article a pour objectif d’étudier le parcours et le vécu des enfants des rues au Burundi. Ces enfants, en interaction avec des enfants scolarisés vivant dans leurs familles et avec l’ensemble de la société, sont souvent perçus entre une image de victime et une image de déviant. Ils sont par ailleurs considérés comme des enfants héros choisissant la rue et ses conditions difficiles. Avant de trouver leurs « repères » dans la rue, ils passent par des phases différentes. Ce texte présente le parcours de ces enfants en mettant en évidence les mécanismes psychiques et d’adaptation en jeu, à travers trois phases illustrées par des témoignages (1) la familiarisation ; (2) l’expérimentation ; et (3) la maîtrise. |

Summary, etc. | The objective of this article is to study the course and the experiences of the street children in Burundi. These children interact with children enrolled in school living at home with their families and the whole of society, and are often perceived between being victims and also as deviants. They are also seen as children heroes choosing the streets and its difficult conditions of life. Before finding their “bearings” in the street, they go through different phases. This text presents the course of these children while highlighting the psychic and adaption mechanisms that come into play through 3 phases illustrated by testimonials (1) familiarization ; (2) experimentation ; and (3) mastering. |

Summary, etc. | Este artículo se propone estudiar las trayectorias y vivencias de los niños de la calle en Burundi. De estos niños, que interactúan con niños escolarizados que viven con sus familias y con el resto de la sociedad, se tiene frecuentemente una percepción que va de la imagen de víctima a la imagen del desviado. Ellos son considerados como niños héroes que eligen las condiciones difíciles de la calle. Antes de encontrar sus puntos de referencia en la calle, ellos pasan por diferentes fases. Este texto presenta la trayectoria de estos niños, poniendo en evidencia sus mecanismos psíquicos de adaptación, a través de tres fases ilustradas por testimonios : 1) la familiarización, 2) la experimentación y 3) el dominio. |
