520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | First of all, the article shows the diversity of conceptions that societies around the world have of the father. Indeed, in the light of research undertaken by certain ethnologists, fatherhood and paternity do not appear to be defined notions with universal content. Secondly, the article analyzes a number of symbolic representations of the father: the ogre, the dog, the wolf, the snake, and their significance, providing a stage for conflicts with the paternal figures. Finally, it highlights the ambivalence of the image of the father conveyed in traditional tales: the father, while presented to us as the protector of the family, its defender, is nevertheless less terrible, sometimes becoming a real enemy in totally arbitrary manner. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
