| Summary, etc. | This article examines the factors underlying the decisions of farming households to adapt to climate change, and the effects of adaptation on maize yield in the coastal region of Togo. To do this, the authors used the multinomial Logit model and the propensity score matching method. The results show that the key factors underlying the choice of soil fertility management measures, short cycle varieties and change in sowing dates as adaptation strategies are the age of the farmer, farm size, access to credit, extension, cooperatives and prevalent temperatures and rainfalls. Moreover, adaptation increases maize yield. |
