520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The murals of Notre-Dame-la-Grande, made visible thanks to the latest technology, have been perfectly elucidated by Robert Favreau. We are content to add three elements: a series of studies on the elaboration of the liturgical tradition having as its origin the Sermon against the Jews of Quodvultdeus and the two potential sources mentioning the prophetesses: the Eritrean sibyl, whose acrostic was so well known, perhaps coming directly from the work of Augustine or more probably from one of the authors who cited it, for example Fréculf of Lisieux in his Historia; the Tiburtine sibyl, with the oracle attributed to it, a text widely distributed from the 12th century. The traces of the transmission of these two texts in Poitou are present in the Chronicle of Saint-Maixent, a gigantic collection of various texts, constituted before 1124, and a capital source for the philological and codicological history of Poitou and the surrounding regions. The direct source of the prophetic clause of the Tiburtine sibyl remains undetermined. We can only indicate that it is widespread from the 15th century, in texts whose incipit is identical to that of the Poitevin work engraved three centuries earlier.
