Summary, etc. | Cette revue de littérature se propose d’étudier le principe de la référence, pratique appliquée dans les crèches et consistant à désigner pour chaque enfant un adulte responsable de son accueil. L’analyse conceptuelle dévoile une pratique aux contours flous et laisse entrevoir une application sur le terrain très hétérogène et source de débats intenses quant à son utilité pour l’enfant. Cependant, les écrits cliniques et les études scientifiques tendent à soutenir les bénéfices de sa mise en pratique dans les crèches collectives, bien que ces travaux demeurent très rares et particulièrement dans la recherche française. |

Summary, etc. | This literature review intends to study the principle of primary caregiving, a professional practice in day care centres which consists of designing a specific adult carer for each child. The conceptual analysis reveals that the boundaries and definition of this practice remain very unclear, while its application on the field is extremely dissimilar and matter for debates as regards to its usefulness for children. Clinical papers and scientific studies tend however to support its implementation in day care centres and its benefits to children, although research in this field remain very rare, especially in the French-speaking context. |
